Dr Anita Suryanarayan has worked with Metropolis Healthcare Ltd. for the last 17 years and is currently holding the Designation of Chief of Laboratory Services& Vice President of Operations, (South India and Srilanka).

Dr Anita Suryanarayan has done MBBS and MD Pathology from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and General Hospital, University Of Bombay and has around 31 + years of experience in Laboratory Medicine, gained from working in General Hospitals, Medical colleges, Private Nursing homes, Clinical Laboratories and Blood banks both government and private.

Her long and diverse career has helped her become proficient in a number of fields,some of which include Clinical Pathology, Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunochemistry as well as Histopathology and Cytology.She has also gained additional certifications and qualifications in Immunohaematology, Blood Banking, and Controlled Clinical trials by the ICMR.

Dr Anita has given several guest lectures on various occasions and through multiple forums. She has also participated in various projects and researchover the years and has many paper publications and presentations to her credit.

She is a Member of Ethical Committee of NGO organizations, CAP, FICCI, IMA and IAPM.

Dr. Anita takes special interests in training both technical and non-technical staff in laboratory procedures with special emphasis on patient care,a field which requires more attention as there appears to be a dearth of staff in this field. Cytology has been also a field of interest for her forthe last 25 years, especially in bone tumours. Having been trained in HLA Techniques and Immunohaematology this area also holds a special passion for her
